Misty Waters
Limited Edition of 25.
There’s something about photographing moving water using a long exposure that you either love or hate. I’m in the love camp as you can see and find myself using this technique more and more. The thing that really draws me to it is its ability to transform quite an ordinary scene into something that normally only exists in our imagination. It takes all that frenetic energy and gives it a dreamlike quality. It simplifies the image, smoothing out distractions and in turn gives it a sense of tranquillity.
If you’re familiar with the breakwater at Raglan’s Manu Bay then you will certainly recognise this scene but the only way you’ll witness this interpretation is through photography. Printed on Hahnemühle PhotoRag 308gsm.
